Location: 42-07 Main Street Flushing, NY 11355 Service: okay but mostly always in a hurry. Ambiance: a little loud and people and servers were coming and going like every second. Restroom is fine too. Food: The most awaited. Had the sautéed ginger clam- was real goodness and very flavorful. Roasted pork good for one person was also cooked well and loved the crispy part of it plus the sauce which made it more wholesome. And lastly the beed with broccoli- beef was very tender and juicy and zesty. Highly recommend when it comes to the food. Although you need to bring cash for the tip!
We came here for a wedding previously and had a great time. I was not familiar with this area of Flushing so it was new to me. You enter the restaurant and go upstairs to the main halls. There are several weddings going on at once so be sure to follow the signs to your party. Inside there are several tables with open seating. There is a large table with people who are able to collect cash for your red envelopes to give to the newly married couple. On the right you have your usual appetizers. They served chicken nuggets, French fries, eggrolls, and buns. To drink they only offered red wine and Heineken beer. There is a large stage that leads to the front for the couple to walk on. They have a good amount of time for pictures. After all the introductions are done they serve the food. They served several entrees with huge portions. I was shocked at how much food was served. They had everything from crab to lobster to a variety of other Asian dishes that I was unsure of. I was not familiar with most of the dishes so I probably won't be the best person to talk about them. The large meals kept coming and coming. If there was food leftover the staff brought boxes for you to take home with. We had a fun time and enjoyed the different kinds of food. I will come again to try the dim sum next time I am in town!
East Buffet has been a staple in the Chinese Community for decades in Downtown Flushing. There are actually three different venues. There is a take-out section on the ground floor. A restaurant behind the take-out and a huge banquet hall in the second floor with Dim Sum for lunch and dinners as well as wedding and birthday parties. It serves mainly Cantonese style Chinese food. East Buffet stopped serving all-you-can-eat buffet and Mongolian hot pot many years ago. They have a good selection of meat and seafood dishes. But the name remains at East Buffet and Restaurant! We were there recently with a party of 28 around 10:30 AM for early lunch. Well, at a Sunday,10:30 AM, it was packed and the line started forming by the main entrance! We managed to get our seating after a 20 minutes wait! The Dim Sum are good. You can pick whatever you like from carts wheeled around by attendants. There are many exotic dishes, so your experience will vary. The food well prepared, fresh, flavorful and tasty. Good service. Very busy during the weekend and holiday. Hard to find parking!
East Buffet has done some minor modifications and the overall view is much better. Linens are better now and food has always been good
